RE: RECALL/DESTRUCTION OF WESTLAND/HALLMARK BEEF PRODUCTS

USDA has informed us that a Class II recall action was announced by Food Safety and Inspection Service for the above item.

We have already stopped distribution of the same as for January 31, 2008 and have been issuing chicken instead.

However, please dispose of any Westland/Hallmark frozen beef you may have received as it has been declared unfit for consumption.

     The above date and time is for food distribution as well as acceptance of applications for the food commodity program. Please sign in during the above designated times. Program participants are required to inform us of any change in income or change in number of persons living in their household. A household cannot participate in the food commodity program if they are on the food stamp program. You can participate in only one of the above programs. Wrong information on application, dual participation, selling or exchanging USDA food commodities could be a basis for disqualification from the food commodity program. You must live on an Indian reservation in order to be eligible to receive food commodities.

     Do not leave the distribution site after signing. If your name is called and you are not there you will be put at the end of the list.
