William C. Mesa, Chairman |
Sixty-five years ago a small band of Tipai found themselves these six acres upon which to settle - a tiny plot in the rolling hills east of the town of Jamul. On the reservation there is a feeling of great community. Meetings take place in the tribal hall. After 65 years of tenacious endurance, Jamul was rewarded with their village finally being declared a reservation. |
